11th April 2013
As previously notified via the fuel adjustment mechanism, fluctuations of +/- 20% in the average fuel price paid by Associated British Ports for pilot launch operations may result in an adjustment to the pilotage tariff.
The Base Fuel Price (BFP) is 54.4 pence per litre (excluding VAT and Duty) which was increased by 2.6% for the general tariff increase in January 2013 (prior to this increase it was 53.0 pence per litre).
The average actual price (AP) paid for fuel during the 6 month period ending 31 March 2013 was 54.6 pence per litre (excluding VAT and Duty) which when compared to BFP is within the +/-20% tolerance levels.
Therefore there is no change to the existing fuel adjustment of 1.9% which will continue to apply up to and including 31 December 2013.
