Non-Routine Towage Assessment (NRTA)

This is typically towage involving barges, dead ships or unusual objects. Normal ship assist towage does not require specific assessment.

Non-Routine towage is defined within ABPs Local Notice to Mariners. This information may be updated as required and must be considered when completing a NRTA.

Towage providers are to submit an assessment form for review and approval 5 working days prior to the voyage date.
