Note:

i)    The maximum length of vessels permitted to transit Eling Channel is 90 m LOA

ii)    All commercial traffic requires a minimum under keel clearance(UKC) of 0.3m and on an ebb tide 0.5m.

iii)    Loading vessels will normally be required to swing in the Eling Basin and will berth starboard side to the quay.

iv)    Discharging vessels will normally berth port side to the quay and will swing in the Eling Channel on departure.

v)     Tug requirements at Pilot/Liaison Pilots discretion.

vi)    Departure time for all vessels must be scheduled to ensure that vessels clear the Eling Channel by the time of second high water.

vii)   Advanced notification (by fax) of cargo details must be sent to the Harbour Master for vessels departing in loaded condition, carrying Dangerous Substances, to comply fully with the Dangerous Substances in Harbour Areas Regulation 1987.
