International Ship & Port Security Code 2004

As from 1st July 2004 the ISPS Code comes into effect requiring vessels bound for ABP Dock estate berths to complete and forward to VTS / Data Centre the Port Security Ship's pre arrival information form.   Further information and / or guidance can be requested by emailing southamptonharbourmastersoffice@abports.co.uk

This form MUST be completed at least 24 hours before the vessel's arrival. Failure to complete this mandatory documentation may result in the vessel's arrival being delayed or prohibited.

The ABP Vessel Booking form now includes the statutory 'Ships Agents Pre Arrival Information Form' for all vessels berthing at ABP Dock Estate berths (20 to 203 inclusive), with the exception of Channel Freight Ferries berthing at 30 berth, vessels entering A&P dry-dock, and vessels bound for 26 and 27 berth who are responsible for their own Port Facility security.

Vessels bound for non-ABP Port Facility berths e.g. Southampton Container Terminal, Fawley Marine Terminal, BP Hamble, River Itchen Berths, Marchwood, A&P Dry-dock etc. agents should make contact with the appropriate Port Facility Security Officer.
