5.1 VLCC tankers when using escort towage, exceeding 60,000 DWT, if carrying an authorised pilot within the CHA pilotage area, will be required to carry an assistant who is also an authorised pilot.
5.2 Bulk cargo vessels and vessels with special requirements may, subject to appropriate assessment, be required to carry an assistant who is also an authorised pilot.
