A glass-processing facility
The UK’s first port-located, purposebuilt glass-processing facility.
Distributing processed glass by coaster vessel throughout the UK instead of by road.

A fertiliser terminal
A purpose-built bagging and blending tower with adjacent warehousing and open storage.
Cranage and other bulk-handling facilities and equipment
35-tonne crane with a discharge rate of up to 500 tonnes per hour supported by four 10-tonne quayside cranes.
An overhead conveyor complete with batch weigher connects the quay to the bulk stores.
Four front-loading shovels (2x Volvo 120, 1x Volvo 150, 1x Volvo 180).
Two weighbridges supported by I.T. stock control systems.
Excellent rail and road connections
The terminal is fully rail served and daily trains call to collect aggregates and gypsum for onward distribution from the two rail-loading pads.
Over half of Southampton’s imported bulks are distributed by rail throughout the UK.
The terminal is easily accessed from the main motorways serving Southampton via Dock Gates 10 and 20.
Stevedores
A specialist independent stevedoring company operates the bulks terminal.
